Update: Disruptive projects & plans
It’s been a really exciting quarter of network growing, live events, online workshops, community-building, campaign-planning, podcast-hosting fun over at DT. Here are some of the highlights of the last few months:
Digital Firm
Earlier in the year we launched Digital Firm - a specific digital transformation service for professional firms looking to bring their businesses into the modern world. Noticing that many traditional firms are being left behind technologically, we looked at how we could help by sharing our expertise in marketing innovations, project management, customer relationship management, technology, workflows, automation and processes in a handy downloadable guide. It’s been an important reminder to us all that those who embrace digital change are those with the competitive edge. The Daily Disruptor Network
We were thrilled to acquire a slack community we had been helping grow and manage with our good friends at Sopro, formerly known as Founder Hub. The community is now called The Daily Disruptor Network, and you can join us here. The Daily Disruptor Network is a free community and a supportive space for founders to connect, network, and find the answers to questions to people who might have been through similar journeys, and who might be able to offer up advice, ideas and links to things that helped them. Having helped run the project for a number of years from behind the scenes, it’s been great to reconnect with some familiar faces, see new members join and see the discussions emerge on such topics as raising start-up investment to graphs about tik-tok. We’d love to see you there.
Devon coworking
For those to whom it’s news, we’ve long been planning a coworking space down in co-founder Yiuwin’s South Devon hometown, Kingsbridge. It’s hard not to love the area and as envious as we have all been of him dialling in from the beach on a Summer’s Friday, we also know the importance of having a state-of-the-art workspace, with good wifi, good coffee and the chance to connect with good people, with the rest of that good stuff right on your doorstep. So we've some exciting news: We've found the dream space! We're negotiating with the agents of a prime location in the middle of Kingsbridge. It's going to take a bit of work to fit the space out, but you can join the waiting list here. Live events
We’ve long supported our friends over at Wow with their annual BenchPress report, which is based on the findings of the largest survey of UK agencies. With such a wealth of data, it’s an amazingly insightful way for agencies to benchmark themselves against their peers, and use this information for their own strategy and planning. The DT team were honoured to join this years live results launch event at OXO2 on the southbank in London, backing up the incredible Wow team by bringing in our event management and comms services to help operations run as smoothly as possible. This year was one of the biggest yet - and the buzz in the room was electric. It was great to catch up with some old friends and new faces, and remember the power of live industry events.
Building Beautiful Businesses
Since the launch of the Beautiful Business Community last year, we’ve had the most awe-inspiring time helping grow the community and create beautiful content for its members. It’s been amazing seeing it go from strength to strength, with now over 350 members that are leaders wanting to create good in the world. As part of it, we’ve also loved hosting the Beautiful Business Podcast full of down-to-earth interviews covering topics from looking after our mental health to sustainable strategy. The last few months have also seen us develop the Sales Acceleration Programme - a series of online interactive workshops aimed at helping people integrate sustainable growth processes into their strategies. The community is free to join and gives you access to blogs, videos, interviews, discussions, advice and insights to help you grow a beautiful business. You can sign up here.
What’s next?
Whilst we continue to develop each of these projects and partnerships, we are always on the lookout for new opportunities where we can help people create, plan, strategise, grow and optimise their potential. Despite having our fingers being in many pies, there’s nothing we love more than the excitement we get from meeting new people, hearing their stories and thinking about what we could do for them.
